aw... those TICKS!

My dear friend whom I appropriately call "The Spammer" actually sent me something useful today. It's a method for taking out ticks, Enjoy! ... and since I just read about it, I haven't tried it yet, but please leave your comments about it if you did.

"Apply a glob of liquid soap to a cotton ball. Cover the tick with the soap-soaked cotton ball and swab it for a few seconds (15-20), the tick will come out on its own and be stuck to the cotton ball when you lift it away."

  1. a follow up... this Memorial Day weekend I had a chance to try this tick removal remedy and it was not very effective on a tick that was latched on for a few hours... it also turned out that this tick resisted two more removal methods.

  2. in my experience, the best way is to use butter or vaseline. make sure you keep the tick if you're in a heavily wooded area, and take to a doctor for testing lymes disease. Early detection is usually beneficial in treatment.
